While you wait
Air conditioning leaking or not working?
- Turn the unit off at the remote, then at its isolator switch if you know where it is
- If water is dripping, put a towel and a bowl under the indoor unit and move anything electrical away
- In a flat, warn the neighbour below if water could be getting through the floor
- If you smell burning or the unit keeps tripping the electrics, leave it off and do not reset it again
- Do not remove covers or touch the refrigerant pipes: refrigerant work is for F-gas qualified engineers only
- If the power is out in your street, call 105 to report it to the network operator

Unit sizes depend on room size, windows, insulation and where the outdoor unit can go. The installer checks all of that in person before giving a fixed price.
